Accounts Payable Clerk
Job Description
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for working with assigned Office Staff on financial transactions specific to Accounts Payable. This role involves various accounting and clerical tasks related to the maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.
Responsibilities
Utilize computerized accounting software programs (MS Access, Excel, Word, Vision360) to perform duties and responsibilities.
Manage every detail and record of the payments that are due, including invoices and check requests.
Process invoices for payment through Vision360.
Analyze accounts and prepare reports.
Track all transactions and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
Resolve invoice discrepancies.
Maintain records and vendor files.
Correspond with vendors and respond to any queries.
Submit monthly reports and assist in month-end closing.
Record all expenses for tax payment purposes.
Organize and maintain retention files for the required period of time.
Maintain Monthly Downtime Tracking / Reporting.
Update Monthly Material Cost.
Update Monthly Accrual.
Essential Skills
High School Diploma with some college accounting courses preferred.
3+ years of experience in accounts payable/receivable with computer applications experience preferred.
Proficiency in Excel and other applications required for data entry.
Skilled in performing work requiring attention to detail.
Work Environment
The position requires working Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM in an open cubicle office space. The Coordinator sits among Office Staff to assist with directing traffic and face-to-face communication. The small office staff is engaged in supporting many active and continuous improvement projects within the facility.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $52000.00/yr.
