Bausch + Lomb Material Associate I (Stockroom) in Saint Louis, Missouri

Day Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

$18.50 per hour

Objective:

Material Associate I: Responsibilities would be within one of the areas below, but not limited to:

499 manufacturing floor:

  • Instrument Passivation and Heat Treating

499 material / floor support:

  • Component Stockroom, Packaging Department and FG Stockrooms.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities would be to train and become efficient within one and then expand to the others, but not limited to:

Becoming trained in the areas will be determined by skill set and quickness in learning. Extensive hands-on training will be conducted by on-the-job training. This will be a daily/ weekly process. Training will be covered extensively through hands on, SOP training.

  • Heat Treating,Trained to SOP and OTJ training

  • Passivation,Trained to SOP and OTJ training

Additional responsibilities that will be coordinated with these steps are shown below.

Packaging Department:

  • Package hand-held surgical instruments by hand and using auto-bagger.

  • Perform system maintenance to track location of instruments in the operation.

  • Process and re-package returned instruments.

  • Process hand-pieces including rinsing and drying, maintaining inventory, pulling from inventory.

  • Update and address daily activity and monitoring reports for accountability.

  • Assist in the Annual Physical Inventory.

Heat Treating / Passivation:

  • These steps will be coordinated with workload requirements as determined by the MFG floor leads/ stockroom personnel.

Component Stockroom:

  • Pull shop orders

  • Pull departmental requests for inventory

  • Perform applicable system work

  • Participate in the Annual Physical Inventory

  • Becoming forklift certified (if applicable)

  • Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety.

  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.

499 FG Stockroom:

  • Pull customer orders, domestic / International

  • Perform applicable system work

  • Perform cycle counts

  • Perform daily putaways

  • Participate in the Annual Physical Inventory

  • Becoming forklift certified (if applicable)

  • Becoming forklift certified (if applicable)

  • Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety

  • Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Self starter

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Dependable and reliable

  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers including decimals and fractions, simple use of formulas, charts, tables, specifications, and schedules

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One or more years working in a stockroom.

On the job acquired skills: (as applicable)

  • Hazmat certification 49 CFR / IATA

  • Industrial equipment operation qualifications

  • Working knowledge of existing computer programs (i.e.):

  • PeopleSoft, ERPLX, Webship, Documentum, Compliance

  • Wire, Excel, Word, etc. (generate reports and forms)
