Job Description

Insight Global is currently seeking a Substation Designer with experience in substation physical design to work in the Power Delivery Substation Department in our St. Louis, Missouri office. This is an in-office position but flexibility is available for a hybrid work environment.

- Perform and direct others in the detailed design of medium to extra high voltage utility substations.

- Perform detailed design of one-line diagrams, general arrangements, elevations, AC service calculations, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation physical layouts, ground grid layouts and details.

- The successful candidate shall be able to specify and select substation equipment; contribute to substation equipment specifications, proposal development, and project scheduling.

Skills and Requirements

- 4+ years of experience as a Substation Designer

- Strong knowledge of detailed physical substation designs and drawings

- Experience with drawings 15kV to 230kV and IEEE protocol/standards - Bachelors degree in engineering or drafting/design

- Coming from a utility company null
