Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our non-profit organization based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The role focuses on managing accounts receivable and payable, reconciling customer accounts, and performing various administrative tasks in the Finance Department.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts receivable by maintaining files, records, and customer accounts

• Manage accounts payable by processing a high volume of invoices, including utilities for various locations, expense reports, and purchase orders

• Utilize established procedures with the accounting system and automated accounts payable software for invoice processing

• Conduct customer account reconciliation on a monthly basis

• Ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted by reconciling accounts receivable ledger

• Assist the Finance Department with various administrative reports and duties

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Great Plains (GPAC) for data entry and other tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation and invoice processing

• Prior experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Ability to execute check runs and coding invoices

• Proficient in data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial tracking and reporting

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) accounting software

• Experience in a non-profit environment is advantageous

• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
