Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a team in the non-profit sector in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This role involves managing and executing various accounting functions, particularly Accounts Payable (AP), with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the entire accounts payable process.

• Utilize accounting software systems to process transactions, maintain records, and generate reports.

• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.

• Accurately code accounts payable information in the accounting system.

• Manage and resolve any accounts payable issues or inquiries.

• Monitor and maintain AP accrual accounting and ensure entries are up-to-date and accurate.

• Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with other team members to achieve efficient financial operations.

• Use ADP - Financial Services and Concur for payroll and expense management.

• Manage ERP systems for integrated business management and improved operational efficiency.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Demonstrable experience in performing Accounting Functions

• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting principles

• Experience in Auditing processes

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and developments

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
