Locations: Coon Rapids, Fridley, Maplewood, Plymouth, St. Paul and Hudson, WI. Responsibilities Accurately perform specimen collection (venipunctures) Maintain specimen integrity throughout specimen collection and processing Accurately perform analysis of in-house Hematology, Chemistry and Urinalysis specimens Run Hematology Analyzer (Sysmex) Perform POC (point of care) testing (iSTAT and INR) Performs manual urinalysis Performs other laboratory tests as ordered Process specimens for send-out testing. Reviews orders and documents/verifies results in necessary computer programs (iKnowMed and Orchard) Work with the team to insure compliance with COLA & CLIA regulations Follows all quality control, quality assurance and safety practices Records QC and patient results on appropriate logs, online forms and LIS computer system. Reports all critical results timely and documents with accurate follow-up. Performs proficiency testing quarterly. Performs daily, weekly and monthly instrument maintenance as indicated. Reviews and approves reference laboratory results.
