Work Now Staffing TIG Welder (Tungsten Inert Gas Welder) in Saint Petersburg, Florida

Must have the following in order to apply:

  • 2 Year(s) of College or a Technical or Vocational School
  • Minimum of Two (2) years of experience in related field
  • Must have experience welding a very thin gauge stainless steel
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Thorough ability in welding various materials
  • Must follow written and/or verbal instructions
  • Organizational skills necessary
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Able to work in a team environment

Job Description:

This position joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine appropriate welding process. Inspects completed welds to determine structural soundness. Familiar with and complies with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a hazardous environment. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safety Sensitive position
  • Stainless Steel TIG welding
  • Weld metal parts on a production line using welding gun or gas or arc welding equipment
  • Connect hoses and turn valves to release fuel gas and oxygen to ignite mixture
  • Insert weld rod into portable holder
  • Guide torch along weld line to bend, melt, or build up metal
  • Fuse parts together, seal tension points, and add metal to build up parts
  • Correct malformation in parts and hammer out bulges or bends
  • Read blueprints and engineers specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness in assigned area
  • Maintain all safety standards
  • Support other departments as necessary
  • Perform additional assignments in accordance with the Shop Supervisor's direction
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Days and Hours:

Full Time position; Day Shift and 40 hours per week. Complete work schedule will be discussed with applicant.

Pay:

$18.00 to $21.00 per hour; depends on experience.
