Katmai Curriculum Developer III in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

SUMMARY

Supports the Hill Air Force Base Complex (OO-ALC) in analyzing, designing, developing, revising, and validating training materials including classroom lectures, online courses, and self-study sessions, directed at employees, organization members, or those who use the organization's products or services that satisfy the requirements of generally accepted Instructional Systems Design (ISD) models and standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs training need assessments, training requirements analyses, task analyses, and target audience analyses.

  • Develops learning objectives to include actions, conditions, and standards.

  • Develops instructional design documents, storyboards, and treatment plans.

  • Develops instructional support documents such as plans of instruction, participant workbooks, etc.

  • Evaluates and validates the developed instructional materials.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.

  • Leads and participates in overall organizational strategic planning.

  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None.

Job Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional System Development or education related field required (Instructional System Development concentration preferred).

  • Minimum of five (5) years of courseware development experience.

  • Must be knowledgeable of the courseware development process including job/task analysis, course design, and storyboarding.

  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Excellent written and communication skills.

  • Experience with military training is preferred, Air Force experience is a plus.

  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task across multiple testing events.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

WORK SCHEDULE

Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

TRAVEL

The expected travel time is less than 25%.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily performed in a professional office setting, including the normal office equipment (e.g., computer, fax machines, copier) and with a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing; occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
