Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain efficient and scalable data infrastructures that can integrate new technologies
Collaborate with data analysts, BI analysts, application developers, PMO, and business users to develop and implement complex data integration requirements
Perform complex database programming by writing SQL stored procedures on large-scale databases
Develop API processes to pull third-party data using Python
Assist with the optimization of the data warehouse environment to support efficient access and reporting on enterprise data
Proactively analyze and address query/job performance bottlenecks
Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
Troubleshoot production issues during and after business hours to ensure SLAs are properly met
Research and learn new tools and frameworks
Qualifications: Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree, preferred
Qualifications: Experience
5+ years experience working as a Data Engineer
Experience with tools and technologies we use:
Microsoft SQL Server
SAP Data Services
SAP Business Objects
Google Looker
SSIS
Expert level in SQL (MS SLQL/TSQL, MySQL) and stored procedures
Experience with Python
Experience with Java a plus
Experience working in a scrum environment a plus
Ability to anticipate customer needs and gives high priority to customer satisfaction and customer service
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, tasks, responsibilities and people to achieve optimum results
A record of looking beyond the obvious to identify the root cause and simplify complicated processes and find ways to improve work processes and select the best possible option
