Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking an eDiscovery Analyst to join our eDiscovery Services team. Our Analysts provide the highest quality of support in litigation matters supported by the eDiscovery Services team for data management and review to manage client matters. This role involves hands-on technical projects with various software, including Relativity, of varying degrees of complexity, ensuring these projects are completed on time and within the required specifications.
This position can be remote if located in one of our offices in the Pacific Northwest. We will also consider candidates in our other locations. The successful candidate will be required to be on-site periodically for training, team meetings, and other occasions, as needed.

Your Role:
As an eDiscovery Analyst within our Litigation department, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Handling all facets of creating and maintaining databases including processing data, importing productions and processing data, running structured analytics including email threading and preparing electronic document productions;

Work with the eDiscovery Services team to build defensible, repeatable workflows for processing, production and other support functions;

Develop keyword searches, coding layouts, views and batches for document reviews. Provide technical support for various types of document reviews including active learning;

Work with the legal team to identify documents for production, implement quality control and prepare productions;

Provide software training for the legal team including basic searching, working with coding layouts, views and dashboards for review and transcript management software Assist legal team personnel, co-counsel and clients with technical problems relating to litigation systems;

Maintain internal record-keeping of processing and production projects. Work with outside vendors, as needed, including conveying deliverable requirements. Identify issues with data received from clients and other parties and ascertain the most effective way to resolve the issues.

Accurately capture and record time entries on a daily basis. Assist with other projects and provide after-hours support as needed.

Ability to exercise independent judgement, reason logically, make sound decisions, and be able to support the decision to multiple audiences including Manager of eDiscovery Services and legal team. Ability to multitask without loss of efficiency or acc uracy and work in a multi-office environment.
