This role offers 12-hour shifts with the potential for overtime, as needed. The individual selected for this role will be assigned to Shift 24 (Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and alternating Wednesdays) from 6:45AM to 7PM.

There is $1,000.00 SIGN-ON BONUS for this role. The hourly range for this role is $23 to $27. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.

The Forklift Operator operates machinery and production equipment for the laundry packaging lines to ensure the production of a high-quality consumer finished goods. This person must function as a team member and stay involved in activities to improve team performance, all while being responsible for the operation of forklifts and the movement of materials through the facility with minimization of interruptions to production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload materials in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Supply raw materials to and from designated locations within the facility based on production requirements.

  • Transport subassembly and raw materials to the warehouse for storage.

  • Weigh supplies (colorant and partial pallets) and mark containers/pallets correctly.

  • Organize the warehouse for optimal performance.

  • Maintain First In/First Out (FIFO) Material Rotation System.

  • Stage loads for outgoing shipments.

  • Create a manifest/sign-off manifest as second signature.

  • Calculate estimated shipping time of outgoing product.

  • Create Standard Transfer Orders (STO).

  • Receive Standard Transfer Orders.

  • Inspect all incoming and outgoing paperwork for accuracy of shipment.

  • Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers.

  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance to ensure proper functioning.

  • Maintain housekeeping including aisle ways and storage locations.

  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel and supervisors to prioritize tasks and fulfill material handling necessities.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.

  • Regularly attend, listen, and participate in team meetings, shift handover discussions, and end-of-shift meetings.

  • Other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • Must have at least 2 years of Forklift Driving experience in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.

  • Must have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience.

  • Must have basic to intermediate computer and math skills.

  • Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

  • Must have outstanding organizational skills.

  • Must have effective communication skills.

  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

  • Must complete internal Forklift certification within prescribed time frame.

  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
