Position Overview:
A Lead is a subject matter expert who coaches, motivates, and guides operational work performed by their peers. Leads monitor and report any extraordinary performance or deviations from operational standards. As a Lead Ramp Agent, you will work as part of a team delivering safe and efficient aircraft services while providing the highest customer service and keeping passengers and aircraft moving safely and on time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
Ensures all QAS and customer safety standards are met and maintained
Properly and safely loads and unloads freight. Including build up and break down of cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines
Protects freight from elements, damage, and vandalism
Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely
Must complete all training classes
Required Skills and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Maintain and treat all information as confidential
Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives
Must be able to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English
Must be able to direct in English verbally
A valid driver's license is required for this position
Work Environment:
Physically strenuous, prolonged periods standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures, and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment
Prolonged standing exposed to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes, and noise in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles
Physical Demands:
Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak and hear efficiently
Able to lift, push, pull up to 75 pounds at times
Ability to climb ladders of up to 15 feet in height
Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling
