Varex Imaging Corporation has opening for Mechanical Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT. Perform activities and documentation necessary to complete new product development and continuing engineering efforts. Review and investigate vendor-provided documentation for completeness and clarity. Create and refine work instruction and customer-facing documentation. Review returned product to analyze critical component failures, makes recommendations based on results for repair, replacement, or providing information for better customer experience. Review and inform on use-case, including product capability and end-user conditions. Build, test, and package subsystem prototypes and first production cases. Familiarity and use of SolidWorks for component reviews and intercomponent fit. Interfacing with SAP and other business management tools to production plan. Working with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to ISO 9001 standards.

Position requires less than 5% domestic travel.

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a mechanical engineering-related occupation.

Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a mechanical engineering related occupation.
