ARUP Laboratories in Salt Lake City, Utah is hiring for full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist II NYQ - 1 opening. Duties: The MLS II NYQ in the Trace & Toxic Elements laboratory will provide services of a technical and non-technical nature for trace element testing, specifically looking at important nutritional and toxic elements, such as zinc testing in serum specimens and lead testing whole blood specimens; will operate/maintain instrument platform such as Agilent ICP/MS Systems; perform routine and complex lab tests to provide physicians with rapid and accurate results; will participate in preparing specimens for processing; perform highly complex analytical processes; establish, perform, and document quality assurance, quality control, and equipment maintenance; confirm and verify results through in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles, and instruments; correlate and interpret data based on knowledge of factors affecting test results; data handling and input. Requires Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or in the chemical or biological sciences; and ASCP or AAB certification as MLS or MT.
