FLEXTRONICS INTERNATIONAL USA INC Quality Manager in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Develops, implements, and coordinates the product assurance program to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. Researches, evaluates, and presents information related to business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, economic trends and design and development of new products. Contributes with other top management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals. Develops initial and subsequent modifications of product assurance program to delineate areas of control, personnel requirements, and operational procedures within program. Manages customer audits and regulatory/compliance agency audits. Confers with engineers about quality assurance of new products designed and manufactured products on market to rectify problems. Participates with material or purchasing team to establish the supplier quality requirements. Guide SQE team to evaluate, develop, and monitor suppliers and components to ensure they comply with Flex requirements and customer requirements on safety, quality, capability, delivery, environment, and society regulation. Establishes and maintains the supplier quality management process and tools, and train SQEs and all peers to ensure compliance of the supplier quality process. Performs internal audits and/or review results from Quality Compliance team to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Verifies compliance and conformance to all regulatory and quality systems requirements, including both Customer and Flex mandated. Engage in External Audit Processes (Customers', Regulatory, Government Agencies, etc.). Verify the proper implementation and effectiveness of the applicable Regulations, Standards, Policies, Directives and Level 1 Procedures in the organization. Develop Internal / External Audits Programs.

              

Minimum Requirements:  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering, or related discipline, or foreign equivalent, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a closely related position. In the alternative, will accept 6 years of experience in the job offered or related position. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience would be acceptable.

 

Special Requirements:  Experience must include 3 years with the following:

 

1.      Quality assurance methodologies

2.      Lean and Six Sigma, Statistical Analysis

3.      Yield Improvement / Quality Management System / Supplier Quality Engineering

4.      Internal and external audits

5.      Regulatory complia nce
