Job Overview

This position will lead and supervise the Salt Lake rebuild center.Matrix with all Komatsu West branches to ensure consistent and profitable rebuild programs for the delivery of quality products and services to Komatsu West's customers.As a Rebuild Manager at Komatsu, you will oversee the complete rebuild process of heavy machinery and equipment, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead a team of skilled technicians and collaborate with various departments to optimize rebuild operations, enhance productivity, and maintain safety protocols. Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor and measure employee and facility safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable local, state and U.S. Federal codes. Ensure that Safety and related programs are effectively communicated to all rebuild center employees on a regular basis. Ensure minimum annual safety training programs are conducted for employees.
  • Plan and coordinate the direction for the Rebuild Operations. Provide vision for growth and market expansion of the rebuild business. This includes expanding the capabilities of the facility for Komatsu equipment and expand the capabilities related to non Komatsu equipment.
  • Create and maintain processes and specifications for rebuilt components that include guidelines to determine if individual parts replacement is required.
  • Develop a standard job costing detail based on flat rates and internal labor requirements to determine component rebuild feasibility based on quality, availability and costs of remanufactured components from other sources.
  • Manage the corporate assets and cash flow with efficient warranty claim processing administration, maximized warranty recovery from OEM and related vendor expenses and effective WIP closeouts to ensure completeness and finality on a timely basis.
  • Manage the regular and effective communication of the business activity and motivation of rebuild center employees. Ensure the adequate and ongoing training of all personnel for required skills to carry out the business strategy. Ensure that annual performance reviews/assessments and yearly goal setting is conducted for every employee during the first calendar quarter of every year.
