SLR CONSULTING Senior Regulatory Specialist in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

This candidate will be an | | integral part of our growth strategy and must be willing to perform | | work both in the office as well as in the field. | | | | As a Senior Regulatory Specialist, you will work with our NEPA team | | in the Intermountain West region. The NEPA team provides integrated | | services on a wide variety of projects throughout the United States, | | including the Intermountain Region and support across the nation for | | the preparation of federal NEPA documents including Categorical | | Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact | | Statements and state level NEPA-type documents and, Environmental | | Impact Evaluations, regulatory permitting, and geographical | | information system mapping. The successful candidate will have | | technical expertise with at least one of the resources categories | | required for inclusion in NEPA documents. | | | | | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in Intermountain West 404 regulatory analyses and pursuits
- Assisting with preparation of documents in support of federal and state NEPA projects
- Participating in meetings and agency consultation
- Be forward facing with clients and assist with business development needs
- Be integral in developing growth strategy for the Intermountain West
- Ensuring work is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with company safety rules and applicable regulatory, industry, and other pertinent standards. This includes, but is not limited to, development of health and safety plans, coordinating and participating in regular safety meetings and training, work site inspections, using required personal protective equipment, and responding to unsafe work hazards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Ecology/Environmental Sciences/Natural Resources Management/Planning, Master's Degree preferred -- OR -- a degree in another field applicable in the NEPA documentation process, with demonstrated experience using the degree in planning
- Work experience with environmental consulting services for GIS map preparation, existing conditions assessment, alternatives analysis, impact analysis, and mitigative measures
- Fluency with agency regulations and NEPA documentation
- Skilled in Clear Water Act regulations and field assessments
- Balances field and office assignments; strong organizational skills
- Experience preparing reports that demonstrate technical knowledge
- Communicates effectively with colleagues
- Demonstrates consistency, strong attention to detail, and background of high-quality work products
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong interest in expanding career skills and learning outside of comfort zone
- Strong interest in safety
- Valid driver's license
The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $110,000.00 to $150,000.00. Individual sa aries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
