Job Summary
The University Analytics & Institutional Reporting ( UAIR ) office is not currently able to support individuals seeking sponsorship for visa – living in and working from the U.S. is a requirement.
The UAIR office is seeking a Senior Business Data Analyst that will play a pivotal role in driving data informed decision-making across the university. This position will be responsible for interpreting and analyzing complex datasets to support strategic planning, operational improvements, and initiatives related to student success. The Senior Business Data Analyst will work closely with university leadership, faculty, and staff to identify key performance indicators and create actionable insights that support student success goals at the University of Utah. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in data analysis, data visualization, and collaborating with decision makers and stakeholders.
The UAIR office houses a transformational group of data professionals that turn complex university data into meaningful, highly valued information, trusted by university leadership to drive strategic decisions and generate official figures reported to regulatory, external and public agencies.
The UAIR team operates with an iterative mindset of continuous improvement, learning and adapting strategies as we go. We believe the strengths and knowledge each person brings to the team bolster our collective work, and aim for a collaborative environment where we thrive together while tapping into our strongest individual contributions. If you’re the type of person who loves data and wants to know your work has meaning, you may find your career home in our office.
Like many areas at the University of Utah, our office is primarily a remote-work environment. As such, it is intended that this position will be fully remote, though the opportunity for occasional in-person meetings on campus will arise. Ideally, some initial training and onboarding could be in-person. We expect to continue our remote-work arrangements and will review this annually. More details can be discussed in an interview.
Our office is not currently able to support individuals seeking sponsorship for visa – living in and working from the U.S. is a requirement.
