The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The Accounts Payable Clerk carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: invoice and statement processing, check runs, payment mailing and all other duties assigned by the Director of Finance

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Reviews invoices for management approval, coding, accuracy and proper documentation

• Maintains communication with vendors to ensure account issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner

• Reviews vendor statements and researches statement discrepancies

• Updates vendor listing as new vendors are entered in the system with accurate addresses and contact information, with federal identification numbers and status(W-9 vendors only) and current certificates of insurance(for subcontractors only)

• Ensures all recurring monthly invoices are received from vendors, follows up if needed

• Prepares and mails payments to vendors

• Receives and verifies expense reports.

• Petty cash by recording entry; verifying documentation.

• Helps with guest calls as assigned

• Backup to Accounts Receivable as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED. One to two years of general business experience, Resort accounting experience strongly preferred.

• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and, Excel.

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Able to file, copy, scan, and fax records with high degree of accuracy and efficiency.

• Knowledge of M3 Accounting Core software is beneficial

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Effective oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and fellow employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction and multiplication.

REASONING ABILITY

Must be able to make appropriate judgments regarding daily administrative and accounting duties.

HOURS

Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the Resort provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.

Pay is $17.00

Paid Vacation and Sick time. Medical, Dental and Vision available at 90 days. 401k with employer match.
