Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the motor manufacturing industry, located in San Antonio, Texas. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be tasked with a variety of accounting and inventory related responsibilities, leveraging your technical competence in SAP applications, and your strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing variances in data and collaborating with various teams to understand the root cause of these variances and implement necessary countermeasures.

• Preparing Month-End Journal Entries for various inventory items and conducting Monthly Variance Analysis.

• Assisting in the coordination and reconciliation of semi-annual parts physical inventory.

• Processing AP invoices, handling Cash Advance, Mail Processing, and other administrative support tasks.

• Investigating variances and trends on the shop floor to assist in understanding and resolving issues.

• Participating in ad-hoc projects as assigned and maintaining confidentiality in all matters.

• Demonstrating flexibility and ability to multitask, handling multiple interruptions.

• Communicating effectively with all levels of the organization, showing strong leadership skills.

• Utilizing Microsoft Access, PeopleSoft, and MS Excel to maintain and manage data.

• Assisting in technical tasks including VLOOKUP, Queries, and updating graphs. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) procedures.

• Experience with SAP and PeopleSoft financial software.

• Knowledge of Batching, Coding, and Matching 401 processes.

• Ability to use VLOOKUP and Queries in MS Excel.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Access.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume environments.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

• High level of integrity and trustworthiness with sensitive financial information.
