Austin Bridge & Road has an outstanding opportunity for a Carpenter Foreman at our large heavy civil project in San Antonio, Texas. The Carpenter Foreman supervises and coordinates skilled and unskilled workers on carpentry-related tasks, such as building forms for concrete, framing, and structural woodwork for construction projects. Responsibilities include ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within specifications and costs, while maintaining effective communication with inspectors, developers, vendors, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities:

• Lead skilled and semi-skilled carpentry crews effectively.

• Supervise and coordinate tasks such as building and assembling concrete forms, framing, and structural woodwork.

• Manage equipment, tools, materials, and work crews to meet productivity, cost, and quality objectives.

• Plan and execute "Look Ahead" schedules, Work Plans, and logistics related to carpentry tasks.

• Ensure a safe, efficient, and high-quality carpentry work environment.

• Inspect carpentry work for adherence to standards and tolerances, addressing issues promptly.

• Coordinate QA/QC inspections for carpentry-related tasks to ensure project acceptance.

• Maintain accurate daily reports and records for carpentry activities to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience leading carpentry crews on heavy civil projects, with a focus on wall construction.

• Skilled in reading and interpreting construction plans specific to carpentry tasks.

• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail in carpentry operations.

• Experienced in logistics planning, scheduling, and managing carpentry materials.

• Dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing jobsite safety practices.

• Flexible and capable of working night shifts and extended schedules as needed.

• Effective communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED or higher

• Valid driver’s license

• Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures

• Must be able to work on call as needed
