POSITION TITLE:Cost Accountant

POSITION LOCATION: San Antonio, TX 78264

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Analyze financial information related to the organization's product offerings, including cost of sales, product margins, and productivity. Perform various cost activities, ensuring reliability in unit cost determination, cost development, analysis of deviations from standard costs, and analysis of cost-margin ratio. Develop and implement cost reduction systems. Provide financial information in a truthful, reliable and timely manner that serves as a basis for correct decision-making. Standard Production of Costs determination for each finished product. Validate/determine the monthly variations in costs. Determine standard rates for Labor, Fixed and Variable Expenses. Raw Material Inventory Reconciliations. Audit of Materials Structures together with the other areas. Determine the total cost of production monthly. Determine monthly production volumes by platform and production line. Annual Profit plan support: Projection of: Sales, COGS, Stats, Purchas Price Variance and balances by platform and production line. Outlook analysis and update on Monthly bases.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance or a related field and 4 years of experience as an Accountant or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Understanding of multi-level complex Bills of Materials; (2) Understanding of product costing routers and work centers; (3) Valuation of product costs via the standard costing concept; (4) Purchase price variance concepts; and (5) General understanding of MRP transactions that align with inventory movement.
