Insight Global Fraud Forecaster Analyst in San Antonio, Texas

Job Description

The Fraud Forecast Analyst is responsible for interpreting data surrounding losses and recoveries to predict future economic trends. This person will look at the data provided and connect with people who can influence trends to identify the future state of finances within the larger organization. This person will analyze the history of the group, as well as collaborate with other teams within the Fraud organization to forecast appropriately.

This role involves complex analysis to enhance portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance for consumer products like credit cards. Responsibilities include leveraging business and technical knowledge to drive strategic improvements and large-scale projects, collaborating with business counterparts and partner organizations, including Risk and Product teams. As part of the Workforce Strategy, Forecasting and Performance, Reporting & Diagnostics Re-Design group, the role focuses on strategic direction for Client Protection. The Loss Forecasting candidate will rebuild fraud loss forecasts, provide updates and commentary, communicate forecast drivers, and work with stakeholders to understand trends and issues impacting forecasts.

 Perform complex analysis of financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends to understand product performance and improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance

 Coaches and mentors peers to improve proficiency in a variety of systems and serves as a subject matter expert on multiple business and technical-related topics

 Identifies business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions and communicates findings to senior management

 Supports execution of large scale projects, such as platform conversions or new project integrations by conducting advanced reporting and drawing analytics based insights

 Provide short and long term loss forecasting in addition to analysis on both historical and projected 1st and 3rd party fraud loss performance

 Responsible for developing, evaluating, and recommending new methods to improve forecasting accuracy.

 Develop/build fraud forecast models leveraging inputs and drivers to improve accuracy

 Ability to interpret financial results extracting trends to provide valuable insights to the business and Senior Management

 Assist in providing ongoing financial support to the product and loss finance teams

 Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, automate, and scale forecasting processes and methodologies

 Partner /Collaborate with finance and key stakeholders on the communication of forecast drivers, impacts, loss performance, and reconciliation

 Prepare, distribute, and consolidate weekly, monthly, quarterly fraud loss packages

 Identify and implement improvements with recurring monthly reporting and adhere to all deadlines

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of Financial Analyst experience within Fraud specifically (Payment card /Retail Bank Finance background preferred)

 Strong knowledge of programming languages SAS and SQL

 Proficiency with Excel

 Ability to present, lead, support, and influence senior management and business stakeholders

 Ability to proactively identify, analyze, and improve upon existing processes for optimization and to meet deadlines Heavy background within Fraud at other large financial enterprises null
