The Opportunity
As a dedicated Intermediate Life, Annuity, and Fulfillment Specialist, you will within defined guidelines and frameworks, support members through life, annuity, and health account maintenance activities to include processing moderately complex to complex transactions, conducting policy audits, and providing advice to USAA sales and service agents on complex resolution. You will also conduct research and analysis and tax reporting adjustment/corrections, and act as an advisor for tax implications and contractual limitations and provisions.
This role requires an individual to be in the San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ office 5 days per week during our operating hours Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 6:00 pm Central time. A Hybrid work schedule is possible after 6mts. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
Receives moderately complex service requests from members, through various member contact channels, and processes requests for all life, annuity, and health policies to include policy changes and regular account maintenance.
Documents all relevant information and ensures accurate fulfillment of the member's request.
Handles moderately complex life, annuity, and health product servicing, and shares developing knowledge of operational processes with USAA sales and service agents, team members and management.
Identifies and shares operational improvement suggestions and recommendations.
Reviews and validates content in internal procedures for accuracy and makes recommendations for potential updates.
Participates in testing for risk management, supplies supporting documentation for internal audits, and gathers and prepares random samples of information for external auditors.
Reviews all incoming documents to ensure they are in good order and takes necessary measures to obtain information needed to finalize service and transaction request and ensure accuracy and organization of files.
Applies developing knowledge of life insurance, health insurance, and annuity products, services, processes, and industry to serve as the main point of contact for life, health, and annuity service.
Researches and assists with the resolution of escalated member issues and complaints.
Participates in annual tax validation, analyzing and researching tax records and documents, partnering with various internal partners.
Participates in risk control audits.
Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
1 year of experience servicing existing life insurance, annuity, and health insurance products.
Developing knowledge of life insurance, health insurance, and annuity industry processes, products, services, and regulations.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task, including navigating through multiple business applications, including a Windows operating system.
Strong interpersonal, written communication, and oral communication skills.

Currently hold a Group I Life & Health license
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $43,680.00 - $72,160.00.
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
