Wells Fargo Lending Operations Associate Manager - SBA Servicing Manager in SAN ANTONIO, Texas

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Small Business Administration ( SBA) Specialty Servicing Manager within Commercial Banking Operations.

This role will ensure the timely delivery of maintenance requests, monthly reporting deliverables, and other work items within established SLAs, with weekly accuracy and SLA reporting to senior leaders.

The position involves partnering with various LOB partners such as SBA and SPG and ensuring timely execution of requests are submitted to United States Small Business Administration (USSBA). The candidate will work directly with bankers and internal partners to address queries and resolve issues, while collaborating with QA, risk, and legal teams to align processes. Additionally, the role requires partnering with the WFI&P team for consistency in processing of all incoming activities. Close collaboration with senior leaders on staffing and capacity models is also essential.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the activities of a Loan Production, Loan Servicing, and Commercial or Real Estate Construction Loan team responsible for loan processing, documentation, pre-closing or closing tasks, loan monitoring, loan servicing, or underwriting activities

  • Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated with the Lending Operations functional area

  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within Lending Operations functional area

  • Participate in the formulation and implementation of new and revised systems, policies, and guidelines

  • Oversee implementation of practices to ensure compliance with Wells Fargo legal, investor, regulatory, or business policies

  • Make credit decisions and resolve issues regarding performance of a business unit or functional area to ensure business objectives are met

  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functional areas with low to moderate complexity, and with accountability for special portfolio segments requiring focused management

  • Collaborate and consult with Lending Operations peers, colleagues, and multiple level managers accountable for providing quality customer service to internal or external customers

  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Lending Operations

  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a high production volume team expected to execute with accuracy and meeting target Service Level Agreement (SLA)

  • Experience managing internal relationship and flawlessly executing on meeting our client expectations

  • Proficient in data analytics using Power BI, Tableau, and/or Excel

  • Experience with legacy system alignments and conversion planning (AFS to LIQ, BBG to GSS)

  • Ability to work collaboratively with bankers, QA, risk, legal teams, and internal partners

  • Ability to work with senior leaders on staffing and capacity planning

  • Project coordination experience

  • Strong attention to detail
