Job Title: Maintenance Planner Scheduler

Job Description

The Maintenance Planner Scheduler is responsible for overseeing all maintenance CMMS related data for the department. This role ensures that maintenance plans are created, PMs are developed, and necessary modifications are made in the Manager Plus System. Additionally, the role ensures adequate stocking levels of parts to reduce downtime of plant equipment. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Assess procedures and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Coordinate maintenance work to properly maintain facilities and grounds.

  • Evaluate maintenance requests, set priorities, and process work assignments.

  • Establish and maintain a reliable network of outside vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely support of the maintenance function.

  • Schedule contractors or subcontractors to perform maintenance work.

  • Ensure all yearly inspection records are maintained and schedule inspections accordingly.

  • Plan and organize day-to-day operations for all Manager Plus activities.

  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed related to the performance of the maintenance function.

  • Establish and communicate the level of quality and safety expected in the performance of maintenance work orders and PMs.

  • Order, receive, and maintain the spare parts inventory for the department.

  • Maintain documentation of all purchase orders.

  • Configure Manager Plus to maintain all KPIs for inventory in-house.

  • Develop and maintain a list of stocked parts for each asset on the production line.

  • Develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with suppliers and vendors.

  • Create purchase orders for parts and supplies needed for the maintenance department.

  • Receive and organize ordered parts and confirm shipments using packing slips.

  • Manage inventory shelving to keep parts organized and easy to locate.

  • Work with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisors to stage parts for created work orders.

  • Organize return shipments to vendors and cross-site shipments.

  • Manage parts and supplies within the allotted budget.

  • Run inventory usage reports for the accounting department.

  • Work independently and with other team members to have parts for prompt and safe repairs.

  • Delegate maintenance PMs and work orders to Supervisors/Leads for scheduling.

  • Develop and maintain maintenance plans and implement them for each equipment type.

  • Ensure quality control standards are consistently met by working with the Quality Assurance Team to verify all items in Manager Plus meet standards required for audits and policies.

  • Report KPIs weekly to the Maintenance Manager.

  • Update maintenance logs for all machinery.

  • Establish schedules for non-mechanical maintenance and ensure PMs are scheduled for non-production equipment.

  • Ensure tools and chemicals are in proper order by performing regular inspections.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with CMMS system; Manager Plus experience is a plus.

  • Experience with mechanical and technical equipment to understand Preventative Maintenance processes.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with other team members and vendors.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, percent, and decimals.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in inventory control and management.

  • Understanding of preventive maintenance.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $70000.00
