We are seeking an Accounting Coordinator to join our dynamic team at the Party Staff. This person must possess strong people skills and have the ability to work with a variety of clients and employees. In addition, the Accounting Coordinator must have strong attention to detail, keen follow up skills and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be local to the San Diego or Greater San Diego area.

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

· Billing: Primarily responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day‐to‐day functions of collections of staff hours worked for daily and weekly invoicing and billing.

· Payroll: Overseeing and processing of weekly payrolls with deadlines for multiple cities and states. You will be a primary resource for payroll questions and issues.

· VMS Systems Management: comfortable with learning different Vendor Management Systems to track and bill for workers. Communicate and update team of any changes and help implement. Assists with the preparations of audits and other accounting department activities as required.

· Accounts Receivable: Track open accounts, reach out to clients with past due and open balances via email and phone calls, and resolve any potential issues. Regularly charge and track incoming orders for event deposits.

· Data Entry and Strong Excel Skills: enter in payments, enter in timesheets, reconcile timesheet information and payments, set up reports, and spreadsheets.

· Miscellaneous: Assist other departments in the office with various tasks as needed.

Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:

· Detailed oriented and energetic.

· Excellent writing skills, effective verbal and interpersonal communications skills.

· Ability to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of accounting systems and controls, identify problems, and devise corrective actions.

· Ability to complete tasks on time with deadlines or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan when necessary.

· Mac Computer experience essential.

Requirements:

· Knowledge of Word, Excel and other Microsoft programs necessary.

· Excellent customer service.

· Typing speed 60 words per minute.

 

Compensation:

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
