This is a full time, benefited position generally working Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Located at Scripps Clinic Jefferson in Oceanside. What you'll do: * Manages daily staffing for assigned clinic operations in surgical specialties to include urology, head/neck surgery, general surgery, and audiology. * Ensures nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. * Under the general direction of the Manager/Director, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing staff, including managing daily staffing plans. * Responsible for managing and maintaining schedules for optimal efficiency. * Works in partnership with Management and Physicians to ensure quality and efficiency in the management of patient care. * Management and development of clinical staff. * Contributes to operations management of assigned business unit(s). * Participates in budget planning and management. * Takes proactive initiative in quality management

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

• Associates degree plus two years applicable clinical experience.
• Requires excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.
• Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care.
• Graduate of an accredited program.

Required Certification/Registration:

• Maintains current California RN license.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required in clinical setting.
• All competencies/certifications required for the highest level RN under their direction.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

• BSN and/or certification in area of specialty preferred if applicable.
• Leadership experience.
• Ambulatory experience.
• Experience in surgical specialties.
