Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with one of our undisclosed clients, gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced accounting environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.

• Support accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely processing of transactions.

• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow tracking.

• Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, and supporting documentation for management.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights into financial performance.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to support audit preparation and compliance efforts.

• Identify areas for process improvement and assist in implementing efficiency-driven solutions.

  Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)

• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle)

• Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.

• Familiarity with financial statement preparation and general ledger functions.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
