Job Title: Area Director

Job Description

The Area Director is responsible for managing the overall operation of the stores within their assigned district. This role involves developing store management talent, making staffing decisions, ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, P&L responsibility, and planning for the growth and development of new cafes. The Area Director must model and act in accordance with the company's guiding principles, ensuring these beliefs are carried out accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop store management talent and make staffing decisions.

  • Ensure district-wide customer satisfaction and product quality.

  • Hold P&L responsibility for the district.

  • Plan for future growth and development of new cafes.

  • Ensure CafĂ© Management staff are properly trained in current business systems and processes.

  • Monitor adherence to Human Resource policies and legal compliance.

  • Lead the training and development of team members through coaching and feedback.

  • Support and execute company marketing initiatives.

  • Represent the brand positively with respect and integrity.

  • Create and maintain positive relations in the community.

  • Utilize management information tools and analyze financial reports.

  • Develop the store management team within the district.

  • Ensure management-level partner development and talent acquisition.

  • Drive the implementation of company programs.

  • Review store environments and key business indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Work with the Sr. Director of Operations to create strategies for regional and company initiatives.

  • Consistently follow up to ensure accountability to plans.

  • Solicit customer feedback to understand customer needs and the needs of the local community.

Essential Skills

  • 2-5 years of experience in restaurant management and catering management.

  • Strong skills in training and development.

  • Proficiency in utilizing management information tools.

  • Ability to analyze financial reports.

  • Strong operational skills managing multiple units.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Human Resources management experience is a plus.

  • Experience in developing and executing marketing initiatives is a plus.

Work Environment

This role operates in a hybrid environment, requiring visits to stores within the operational territory but primarily working remotely.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $105000.00
