Meta Software Engineer, Android in San Francisco, California

Summary:

We are seeking full-time Android Software Engineers to join our mobile teams. As an Android Software Engineer, you will specialize in building elegant products on world-class technologies that bring our social experiences to billions of people, anytime and anywhere.We are looking for developers with experience in user interfaces, infrastructure, and/or tools supporting applications on Android using the Android SDK. Required Skills:

Software Engineer, Android Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with our product and design teams to build new and innovative application experiences for Android

  2. Implement custom native user interfaces using the latest Android programming techniques

  3. Build reusable Android software components for interfacing with our back-end platforms

  4. Analyze and optimize UI and infrastructure application code for quality, efficiency, and performance

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 6+ years of programming experience in a relevant language

  2. 2+ years experience building Android applications in Java or Kotlin using Android SDK

  3. Experience building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques

  4. Experience with multithreading programming and mobile memory management

  5. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

Public Compensation:

$70.67/hour to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
