Robert Half Operations Analyst in San Jose, California
Description We are seeking a dedicated Operations Analyst to join our team in San Jose, California. In this role, you will play a key role in our manufacturing industry operations, focusing on a variety of analytical tasks including evaluating quotations, cost analysis, and facilitating decision-making processes related to purchasing, materials, and production costs.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough evaluations and analysis of supplier quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with company budgets.
• Engage in negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Regularly monitor and analyze costs associated with raw materials, production processes, and supply chain logistics.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
• Develop and maintain detailed cost models to support pricing strategies.
• Assist in forecasting material requirements based on production schedules and sales projections.
• Oversee efficient inventory management by balancing stock levels and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to enhance purchasing processes.
• Assess production workflows and identify inefficiencies.
• Provide data-driven insights to support lean manufacturing and process optimization initiatives.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production costs and efficiency.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting findings and actionable recommendations.
• Act as a liaison between operations, procurement, and finance teams to align goals and strategies. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operations Analyst or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a must.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms.
• Knowledge of Data Mining Techniques.
• Understanding of Accounting Functions.
• Practical knowledge of Accrual Accounting.
• Prior experience in Auditing.
• Familiarity with Budget Processes.
• Understanding of Capital Management.
• Experience in Financial Analysis.
• Skills in Cost Analysis.
• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting.
• Knowledge of Inventory Forecasting.
