This role will deliver quality, process improvement and automation across an Amazonian's onboarding and career compensation journey, create synergies and efficiencies, and strive for zero-defects within our processes.. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders, including HR, business units, Payroll, Finance, Product, Data Intelligence and employees. The ideal candidate should be a quick learner, team player, and drive for process automation to effectively support the work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for quality, process improvement and automation across bonus programs, hourly pay administration, new hire/transfer offer exceptions and annual pay cycle support.

Additionally, you will play a crucial role in continuously improving processes, identifying areas for optimization, and driving innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Maintaining accurate records, adhering to data privacy and security standards, and staying informed about relevant laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits are essential aspects of this role.

Key job responsibilities

Delivers consistent quality results and optimizes quality procedures and processes

Creates basic automation scripts for straightforward processes

Learns best practices for quality management

Create quality procedures and documentation

Implements automation solutions following established guidelines

Conducts testing of automated processes

Drive changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the processes

Lead projects as subject matter expert and work towards the goals of the project

Lead process automation initiatives collaborating with tech team to improve customer experience

Carry out audits and checks on data changes to ensure accuracy and adhere to strict confidentiality standards.

About the team

The position reports to the Senior Compensation Manager within the Compensation and Pay Execution (CAPE) team, which is a Compensation Shared Services organization serving all Amazon employees globally. The role will serve as quality oversight to ensure Amazonians receive bonus pay, hourly compensation and new hire/transfer approvals accurately, within service level agreements and with minimal defects. Additionally, this role with be the liaison between CAPE and our partner teams that find automation through data solutions and product design. Our goal is to automate manual efforts in the compensation shared services space in order to find process improvement.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Fluent English and Spanish

  • 3+ years Experience with HR processes and systems

  • 3+ years in compensation processes

  • Experience in automatization processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with process improvement and stakeholder management

  • Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee information and adherence to strict confidentiality standards
