Liberty Latin America Senior Manager, People Projects in San Juan, Puerto Rico

What´s the role?

As the Senior Manager, People Projects, you will be responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. Manage plan and designate project resources, prepars budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. Also ensure quality control throughout project lifecycle. Responsible for implementing new concepts within a company and helping transform the ways in which the organization operates. A main duty is acknowledging the areas where there is a need for change and assessing how this will affect the organization. You will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles and organization structures. Culture translates to customer experience, which translates to growth and increased revenue.

How can you add value?

  • Build and lead project teams ensuring quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle accomplishing project objectives by coordinating and evaluating project activities accurately.

  • Responsible for leading major corporate transformation initiatives, programs, and projects.

  • Lead cross functional, large, complex, and highly transparent projects and/or multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic working environment.

  • Apply accepted change management principles to onboarding and the development of effective project team(s). This may include developing and recommending exercises and methods to educate project teams and help organizations gain competency in Change Management

  • Maintain consistent communication with project sponsors, performance managers, and internal clients on the progress of the project vis-a-vis the work plan.

  • Maintaining issue, risk, and/or action logs; producing project status reports

  • Work to identify and acquire participation from required cross-functional core team members with mentorship from strategic business partners or senior staff.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of key goals, objectives, and success criteria for projects and programs.

  • Recommend project and program implementation process improvements.

  • Understand the scope of programs as defined by the business requirements and budget process. Participate in key planning achievements and acts as a guide for the core program team from initiation through execution and completion.

  • Build program plans and maintain program record. Work with the core team to pinpoint and schedule all the work required to fulfill program scope, including identification and management of critical path.

  • Track and rus the program schedule and task details included in the program plan. Analyze the actual performance against the plan and makes adjustments consistent with plan objectives including risks and issues.

  • Monitor and assure quality of program deliverables. Work with core team and key resources to develop and monitor deployment schedule, strategies, and tools to support the implementation of programs.

  • Work with various managers and leaders to lay out project implementation guidelines and plan for staff and/or other resource requirements.

  • Frequent exercise of independent discernment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin America's policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.

  • Other functions may be assigned.

What do you need?

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

Six sigma certification & PMP highly preferred.

Master’s degree preferred

10+ years of relevant work experience required

Preferred background includes roles in management consulting, change management, workforce planning, corporate strategy, corporate finance, or other similar analytical data-driven function. Experience in leading major transformation programs or other organizational change preferred.

Other Qualifications:

  • Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English).

  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate efficiently.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills.

  • Consistent use of independent judgment and discretion.

  • Excellent communication skills with vendors, suppliers and with employees and project partners at all levels.

  • Computer-literate, knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, PP, Outlook).

  • Willingness to travel
