Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
A minimum of seven years of experience working with accreditation processes and associated compliance reporting.
Experience with SACSCOC .
Ability to develop, implement, and assess processes and/or programs designed to meet targeted strategic planning goals.
Ability to take the initiative, problem-solve, exercise judgment, and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of internal and external constituents.
Ability to successfully manage a staff of professional-level employees.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal).
Master’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with dual enrollment, off-site instructional locations, and international instructional sites/campuses.
Experience working with student success measures in an educational setting.
Doctoral degree.
Job Description
The Associate Vice Provost for Institutional Accreditation, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools on Commission on Colleges ( SACSCOC ) Liaison is the university’s principal officer with respect to managing the institutional assessment and accreditation processes, and other activities through which outcomes are assessed.
Job Duties
Serve as Southern Association of Colleges and Schools on Commission on Colleges ( SACSCOC ) Liaison:
Ensure that compliance with accreditation requirements is incorporated into the institution’s planning and evaluation process.
Notify the Commission in advance of substantive changes and program developments in accordance with the substantive change policies of the Commission.
Familiarize administrators, faculty, staff, and students with the Commission’s accrediting policies and procedures, and with particular sections of the accrediting standards and Commission policies that have an application to certain aspects of the campus (e.g., library, distance education, continuing education).
Serve as a contact person for Commission staff.
Manages the completion of all SACSCOC related reports including substantive change, Fifth-year interim reports and decennial reports.
Coordinate the preparation of the annual profiles and any other reports requested by the Commission.
Serve as a resource during the decennial review process and prepare for and coordinate reaffirmation and other accrediting visits.
Maintain documentation of all accreditation materials, such as, reports related to the decennial review; accreditation committee reports; accreditation manuals, standards, and policies; schedules of all visits; and correspondence from SACSCOC .
Provide leadership for implementing university and division policies and procedures, and outcomes assessment.
Provide oversight of assessment through which student learning, academic services, student success, and administrative effectiveness outcomes are evaluated annually and serve as a resource on best practices and research findings in outcomes assessment and measurement.
Provide leadership in conducting research and data analysis for the academic affairs division.
Represent the university at conferences, accreditation visits and in matters related to assessment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
