Description
We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Senior Network Administrator in the Education industry located in San Marcos, Texas. This role involves a variety of tasks including the design, installation, and configuration of network devices, troubleshooting network problems, and maintaining network infrastructure in a 24/7 operations environment.
Responsibilities:
• Design and install network switches, routers, wireless access points, and related equipment on the campus.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues reported by end users.
• Manage the allocation and assignment of IP address space across the campus.
• Carry out backup and recovery procedures for the campus network infrastructure configuration data.
• Regularly perform administrative tasks to support the campus network infrastructure.
• Keep network equipment up-to-date by installing software and firmware updates along with security patches.
• Generate comprehensive written documentation including network designs, processes, procedures, configurations, and diagrams.
• Automate network tasks using network management tools, automation tools, and scripting.
• Liaise with hardware and software vendors to address and resolve campus network related issues. Maintain communication with vendors until problems are resolved.
• Use your skills in Cisco Routers, Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, Dell Technologies, Firewall Technologies, Active Directory, Backup Technologies, Computer Hardware, Configuration Management, and Deployments to perform your duties effectively.
Requirements • Proficient in managing and maintaining Cisco Routers and Cisco Technologies
• Familiarity with Citrix Technologies and Dell Technologies
• Capability to handle Firewall Technologies effectively
• Skilled in managing Active Directory operations
• Experience with Backup Technologies for data safety and recovery
• Understanding of Computer Hardware components and systems
• Competence in Configuration Management for system stability
• Proven experience in successful Deployments of network systems
• Background in the Education industry is highly desirable
• Must possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential
