Position Description
TheDepartment of Agricultural Sciences (https://ag.txst.edu/) seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/non-tenured faculty to teach Agricultural Sciences courses.
Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school need.
This posting is for the fall 2024, spring 2025, and summer 2024/2025 semesters. Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises.
This position is subject to availability of funds.
Required Qualifications
- Specific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of a master’s degree or commensurate experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph. D. in agricultural sciences, or equivalent professional experience, and/or prior teaching experience is preferred.
