The Welder timely and accurately builds Transformer sub-assemblies and assemblies to customer specifications using mechanical or power hand tools, machines, gauges, soldering and brazing equipment. In This Function You Will

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assemblies

  • Use heavy industrial equipment, including cranes, fabrication, welding and brazing equipment

  • Provide assistance to other sheet metal fabricators / operators in performance of their duties as required.

  • Be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly

  • Use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools, power tools, MIG welders to assemble, adjust, or repair product

  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals

  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion

  • Adhere to company, environmental, health, safety rules and regulations

  • Provide process and safety improvement idea.

  • Observe all health/hygiene and safety policies as directed and specified.

  • Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5SQualifications Required (Basic):

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution

  • Completed welding, brazing, MIG, or aluminum welding certifications

The essential functions of this role include:

  • wearing steel toe shoes

  • manual lifting up to 50lbs

  • standing for 8 hours at one time
