Amazon Principal Product Manager - Tech, Rufus Shopping AI in Santa Clara, California

Description

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager Tech to own and drive the Rufus experience on Search. Rufus is Amazon's Shopping AI, a high-visibility customer experience, leveraging large language models (LLMs) as a flagship Gen-AI investment within the Stores business. Your role will be critical in shaping how customers discover, learn about, try, and return to Rufus, ensuring it becomes an essential part of their shopping experience. If you are passionate about AI-driven experiences and reinventing how customers shop with Gen-AI, this is a rare opportunity to define the future of conversational commerce at Amazon.

You will own and operate a portfolio of features that help customers shop on Amazon leveraging Rufus, including inventing new ways to help customers search for products, get recommendations, insights, suggestions, and answers to their questions -- all within the Amazon search experience. Success in this role will make shopping on Amazon significantly easier for customers, and will drive a step-change in customer engagement with Rufus. Your work will directly shape the future of shopping engagement on Amazon.

In this role, you will shape Rufus CX and Science team priorities, balancing engagement growth with high-quality shopping outcomes. You will balance creative vision with technical execution, making data-driven decisions while pushing LLM science and engineering to new frontiers. You will work directly with multiple Applied Science and Engineering organizations to create the world's best shopping LLMs and invent new experiences that are only now possible. You will bring high judgment and high standards to design new user experiences and improve them relentelessly. You will invent new LLM-driven interactions, balancing technical feasibility with customer delight.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience technical product management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

  • Experience driving technical products built on ML/AI/LLMs directly with Applied Science and Engineering partners.

  • Experience inventing, launching, and scaling experiences to millions of users

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
