What you'll do:

Works with consultative sales team and senior leadership to develop proposals, presentations, and other client facing materials for pursuing new business and renewing/expanding existing business. Responsibilities include writing proposals and creating presentations, program managing the Request For Proposal (RFP) process, working with design team to create multiple types of collateral (including video and case studies), and assisting in knowledge management of standard marketing content.

The Host team is seeking a proven business development professional to support the solution team in differentiating our products and services and reaching growth targets.

  • Contribute to all sales and marketing efforts from lead generation through relationship management.

  • Support Sales Leader(s) throughout the RFP process to include: define win strategy; establish the pursuit team; develop the value proposition; design financial & organizational models and other goals as assigned.

  • Work with Sales & Client Solutions team to understand the sales needs and identify potential client targets of the team.

  • Gain and utilize knowledge of GWS Enterprise solutions for prospective and current client’s requirements/needs.

  • Report status of pursuit activity and results to the leadership team as requested.

  • Develop solutions and service delivery models within the practice framework to meet the prospective and current client’s needs.

  • Participate in sales presentations and workshops to prospective and current clients as well as firm personnel.

  • Provide strategic input for complex proposals, including developing Executive Summary and other materials for client review

  • Work with internal teams and graphic designers to develop marketing concepts and design materials to support specific client outcomes

  • Develop strong working relationship with subject matter experts throughout the organization (both functional leaders and account management)

What you'll need:

  • Bachelors degree from four-year college or university and/or equivalent, professional training, and/or certifications

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of related experience in sales, business development and/or consulting preferred. Experience in hospitality or real estate organization preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to deploy and maintain a consistently high quality of service at scale

  • Personable and collaborative with a track record of working successfully across teams

  • Must be extremely organized, have strong business writing and editing skills, and excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a varietyof options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience developing strategic solutions. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company

  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management, and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.

  • This position will ideally be based in New York or Bay Area

  • Candidate must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time, including international travel

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $150,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $180,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
