The Maintenance Mechanic I will be responsible for performing repairs on plant equipment and preventive maintenance items on the facility equipment and Setting Plastic Injection Molds. The Maintenance Mechanic I will possess a general knowledge of various trade fundamentals sufficient to deal with repairs and tasks assigned. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Work independently (i.e. with minimal supervision) as well as within the context of a team. • Perform repairs on equipment as directed. • Remove and Install Molds in Molding machines per instructions • Clean and prepare molds for future use in Molding Machines. • Maintain records of maintenance and repairs made to equipment and Molds. • Operate production equipment to check work as required. • Perform assembly, cutting, and grinding. • Provide support to production during machine breakdowns. • Work from drawings, Work Instructions and verbal instructions or sketches REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: • One year experience in a general maintenance related position. • Understand basic Rigging procedures and Crane operation. • Perform basic arithmetic computations (i.e., add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals) • Good organizational skills • Ability to work without supervision • Knowledge of basic industrial equipment. • Apply proper safety practices and follow procedures while performing maintenance tasks. • Operate power tools and mechanical equipment safely and effectively. • Basic understanding of machine guarding. • Must be a self-starter, independent and be able to work in a fast paced and challenging environment. • Good written and oral communication skills. • Dependability and ability to adapt to change are essential. • Follow applicable work instructions. • Follow established company policies. • Follow all established health and safety policies. • Ability to read, write and communicate in English. • Knowledge of GMP • May be required to operate company owned or leased vehicles and trucks. • Must have safe driving record, valid driver license, and be able to pass DMV background check. • Ability to safely operate company owned or leased vehicles on public and private roads. OTHER REQUIREMENTS (SPECIALIZED): • Computer literacy a plus • Minimum of one year experience in a maintenance related position. • Able to read micrometers and calipers and other precision instruments PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Must be able to sit for at least 4 hours at a time. • Must be able to stand for at least 4 hours at a time. • Have normal eye/hand motor coordination and the ability to grasp and hold small objects. • Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach with hands and arms several times a shift. • Possess a normal extended reach. • Consistently uses manual dexterity. • Must be able to climb a ladder. • Must be able to climb stairs. • Have the ability to determine color acuity. • Must be able to travel via car or plane to designated areas. • Must be able to transport, lift, and demonstrate materials, product and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in mechanical maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field preferred.
Experience requirements: (ex: entry level, 5 years, etc.)
Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience maintaining, adjusting, and troubleshooting automated machinery, ideally with experience working on Automatrix or similar equipment.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of machine mechanics, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, gear drives, motors, sensors, and pneumatic systems.
Power BI Experience: Familiarity with entering downtime data into Power BI or similar reporting tools; ability to generate and interpret downtime reports.
Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to keep machines running efficiently.
Tool Proficiency: Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment, including the use of measuring instruments to ensure parts are within specification.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail when making machine adjustments and performing maintenance to ensure parts meet production standards.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and report downtime accurately.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy components, work in confined spaces, and perform physical tasks that require manual dexterity and stamina.
Experience with Automatrix Machines: Prior experience with Automatrix machines or similar automated production equipment is highly preferred.
Certifications: Any relevant certifications in machinery maintenance, industrial mechanics, or manufacturing operations are a plus.
Knowledge of Electrical Systems: Basic understanding of electrical systems and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is a plus but not required.

Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
