Description

We are offering a contract to hire (or direct hire for the right candidate) employment opportunity for a Paralegal in Sarasota, Florida. The selected candidate will join our team in the legal industry, providing essential support in a fast-paced environment, specifically in the area of commercial litigation. This role will involve a diverse range of responsibilities, including legal assistant duties and trial preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process legal documents related to commercial litigation

• Utilize case management software to maintain and update client files

• Engage in e-filing procedures and discovery processes in line with industry practices

• Draft legal documents and prepare materials for trial

• Coordinate and schedule depositions and appointments as necessary

• Execute billing functions using appropriate software for attorneys

• Maintain a high level of proficiency in Office 2019 and Outlook

• Operate Adobe Acrobat to handle document processing and management

• Utilize Prolaw for time and billing purposes

• Ensure effective communication with clients and team members

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Outlook is a must

• Must be well-versed with Case Management Software

• Must have excellent calendar management skills

• Should possess strong communication skills

• Experience with e-File and e-Filing systems is crucial

• Familiarity with Billing Software for Attorneys

• Must have experience in drafting legal documents

• Experience in commercial litigation and general litigation is required

• Familiarity with discovery processes in legal proceedings is essential

• The ability to schedule depositions and appointments is required.
