Aerotek Soldering Technician in Sarasota, Florida

Description:

  • Conduct and document a variety of electronic, mechanical and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies and parts to ensure units function according to specifications
  • Conducts test procedures, technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Reads, understands and utilizes product performance specifications, wiring diagrams and schematics to understand testing requirements and equipment to be used.
  • Perform test of functional performance of systems, products, subassemblies, and parts under specified environmental conditions including but not limited to temperature change, vibration, pressure and humidity.
  • Calibrates test instruments
  • Analyzes' test data on defective units to determine root cause of failure.
  • Devises and documents test equipment setup to evaluate performance and operation of nonstandard or customer returned units.
  • Associate?s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to read and write in English, interpret documents such as Test Procedures, Equipment manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to make all calculations necessary to develop, deploy and evaluate test processes and product performance to test specification.
  • Has the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Symix Software; Lab View ; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • at least 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports.
  • Read/Write Fluently in English
  • Must be well-organized, flexible and able to work in a fast paced, manufacturing environment
  • MS Office Suite including; Outlook, Excel, Access, and MSWord.
