Location: 1 Elba Island Road, Savannah, GA 31404 Primary purpose: Provide supervisory leadership to operations crews at a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) import and export terminal. Responsible for the safe, efficient and effective operation of the equipment, systems and infrastructure at the terminal. Plans and schedules work crews, contractors and construction support services to meet deadlines. Operate the terminal within production limits, alarms and key performance indicators. Essential duties and responsibilities: Responsible for the safety and environmental programs, compliance with company procedures and government regulations, development and management of the budgets, employee training and development and overview of administrative functions relevant to the work Responsible for the operation and maintenance of process equipment, instrumentation, pumps, vessels, heat exchangers, pipelines, compressors and auxiliary equipment, engines, turbines, motors, cooling equipment, valves, seals and other related equipment Understand and be prepared to execute emergency response activities at all times. Coordinate with Engineering and Operations staff to ensure process safety. Lead investigation of abnormal conditions and safety/environmental incidents. Ensure the cost effective and efficient performance of the pumps, exchangers, all engines and motors, and associated equipment at the terminal Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment. Represent the Company during contacts with landowner/tenants, public officials/emergency officials and at local meetings. (Community Organizations Pipeline Groups, US Customs, Coast Guard, etc.) Oversee construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties. Train and oversee company and third party personnel as required (i.e., personnel in progression, transport drivers, contractors, and visitors) Assist in the planning, administration and control of capital and maintenance budgets. Assist in the planning, directing and control of contracted resources. Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Perform governmental compliance activities (OSHA, DOT, State Agencies, EPA, USCG, etc.). Monitor and implement Health/Safety/ Security/ Environmental (HSSE) processes (Hot Work, Permit to Work, Confined Space, etc.). Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns. Actively participate in safety programs and initiatives. Participate in the development of OandM Procedures, Site Specific Procedures, project scopes and work plans. Complete all applicable documentation and record keeping. Recruit, interview, hire, develop, and manage performance of employees. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: Minimum requirements: Educatio : High School Diploma or GED A two or four year college degree preferred Experience / specific knowledge: A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience. A minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience operating a liquefied natural gas terminal or similar process; experience and/or knowledge with pertinent process equipment (i.e., centrifugal pumps, reciprocating compressors, etc.) Familiarity with all applicable governmental regulations and company specifications and policies Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, cryogenic liquid, and high/low pressure systems Certifications, licenses, registrations: Possess a valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements. May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties. Achieve and maintain all qualifications and progression requirements applicable to the job. Competencies, skills, and abilities: Must possess strong leadership, communications, and interpersonal skills with both company and contract employees. Must be able to deal effectively with people and resolve conflicts and problems. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and makes adjustments quickly as needed. Ability to analyze financial and cost data and develop conclusions and recommendations. Ability to accept direction and work effectively and cooperatively with other people.
