Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Electronic Security Service Technician to join our amazing culture. Our team is recruiting candidates that are trained (or experienced) in Electronics and low voltage systems, with mechanical skills for troubleshooting, installing, terminating and programming panels/devices; some roles could include embedded assignments at a customer site. Specifically, we are looking for candidates experienced and/or certified in Lenel, Software House CCure 9000, and/or Genetec. Our team is recruiting candidates that are trained (or experienced) in electronics and low voltage systems, with mechanical skills for troubleshooting, installing, terminating, and programming panels/devices. This is a field service position, but some assignments could include embedded roles at customer sites. Specifically, we are looking for candidates experienced and/or certified in Software House CCure 9000, Lenel, and Genetec.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

  • Respond to routine and complex service calls and scheduled maintenance calls using solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.

  • Occasionally perform simple installs and programming/testing of a variety of systems and equipment including access control, CCTV/video, intercoms, turnstiles, and intrusion/alarm systems. Act as key interface for technical support and training of the customer.

  • Test, inspect, and/or perform preventative maintenance on security systems to ensure system are working properly.

  • Take initiative to seek improvement solutions for systems or equipment and take action to optimize the system performance.

  • Complete accurate and detailed service reports for customer and Convergint to allow for clean invoicing and job cost tracking.

  • Provides technical support to end users and field colleagues when applicable. Proactively seeks technical guidance from more experience staff for difficult and unusual situations.

  • Stays current and informed on industry products, services, and policies.

  • Participate in the on-call rotation for service needs after hours and weekends.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma (technical degree preferred)

Licenses & Certifications: PERC card (required), Genetec certification (preferred), CCure 9000 certification (preferred), Lenel certification (preferred)

Minimum Experience: 3-5 years of previous, relevant field service experience in electronic security
