Summary

Manages a team that provides scheduling, analytical, technology and engineering support to the department. Oversees and directs work product and workflow within a business area. Ensures resources are optimized to complete projects within scope and time required. Identifies and directs the implementation of applications or technical process solutions to meet business needs. Develops, monitors, and reports departmental budget, expense, and work performance.

What You'll Do

  • Manages a team of technical, professional personnel in the planning and execution of assigned tasks .

  • Oversees liaison function between department business application users and developers.

  • Oversees business process improvement activities within department that include application development and enhancements, new software implementation and business process change.

  • Oversees development and delivery of data, KPIs, metrics, and reports across generation, transmission and/or distribution system departments.

  • Assigns and directs staff to collaborate with business units to develop process models, business requirements, technical requirements and validates business applications by developing and executing test cases.

  • Collaborate with SRP IT departments to deliver data integrations and data solutions to meet SRP management objectives

  • Establishes and tracks goals and objectives to support the organization's strategic plan, analyze key performance indicators and prepares reports for appropriate management and stakeholders to measure success.

  • Identifies projects and coordinates resources to ensure successful completion of projects and achievement of goals and objectives.

  • Oversees development and management of O&M and capital budgets associated with department responsibilities.

  • Provides oversight for the development, monitoring and reporting of department O&M and capital budgets.

  • Ensures departmental goals and objectives for performance standards are met in terms of safety, production, and quality.

  • Attends appropriate professional conferences to stay current on industry development, improving technologies and business practices affecting utility operations.

  • Performs management functions including hiring, development, and performance management.

Experience

A minimum of eight years of related experience is required (if no degree, 12 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling 12 years).

Education

A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
