Our revered not-for-profit client is on the hunt for an efficient Payroll Specialist to become part of their diligently functioning finance team. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your skillset in an organization that is dedicated to making a significant impact on the community it serves. The Payroll Specialist will have a critical role in the finance department by managing payroll functions. The successful candidate will ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time. You will also collaborate with the Human Resources team and respond to any payroll-related questions and requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collecting data relating to the hours employees work.

• Compute employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits, and taxes.

• Answer staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records.

• Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.

• Track and deduct necessary items like garnishments and other deductions.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Previous payroll experience, preferably within a not-for-profit.

• Familiarity with payroll software programs.

• Extensive knowledge of the payroll function and payroll tax laws.

• Strong numerical aptitude and keen attention to detail.
