In AGI security, we make sure our AGI services and all applications that rely on them earn and keep our customers’ trust. We partner with scientists, AGI builders, and teams across Amazon to ensure our models and GenAI applications are built securely by default.
We are looking for an experienced security leader to join the Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Business Security Team. As a security leader, you will own building and managing a team of security engineers, fostering a strong team culture. You and your team will be responsible for reviewing and testing our new AGI services before release, partnering closely with our development teams to produce innovative and secure solutions. We're looking for a leader that's highly passionate about the potential of Generative AI, and building a high performing security team. Ideally you have a track record of raising the security bar for high quality technology products and services, in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. You should know how to prioritize, communicate clearly and compellingly, and understand how to drive outcomes and excellence with a strong team.
A Security Manager must foster constructive dialogue and seek resolution when confronted with discordant views. Leaders in this role are expected to participate fully in the planning of the their team's work and constantly seek opportunities for process improvement. A successful candidate will need a combination of troubleshooting, technical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle a mix of disparate tasks which may include automation, project management, and security engineering work. This role will provide career growth opportunities as you gain new security skills in the course of your duties.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience leading, managing & developing high performance teams
5+ years of progressive experience within a software security team or similar operating environment
BA/BS in computer science, information security, related discipline, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AWS AI/Gen AI services (SageMaker, Code Whisperer, Bedrock etc.) and their security properties
Hands-on knowledge of information security technologies such as security design review, threat modeling, risk analysis, and software testing techniques
Experience with defining security tenants for the solutions based on customer security expectations.
Strong information security risk-based prioritization abilities
A strong bias for action with proven ability to handle high stress, time sensitive security tasks
Excellent written communication skills, with a focus on translating technically complex issues into simple, easy to understand concepts

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $157,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $272,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
