Robert Half Assistant Controller in Seattle, Washington

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including managing accounts payable and receivable, supporting month-end closing procedures, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements. You will also be contributing to the improvement of our accounting processes and internal controls.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the process of accounts payable, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments

• Manage the accounts receivable process, which includes invoicing clients, tracking payments, and ensuring outstanding balances are followed up

• Aid in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial data for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Support month-end closing procedures, which include journal entries and reconciliations

• Perform general ledger accounting tasks, including posting entries and maintaining accurate records

• Prepare a variety of financial reports for management, highlighting key financial metrics and variances

• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts

• Regularly reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts

• Provide support to external auditors and assist with the preparation of documents for audits

• Recommend and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 + discretionary bonus.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Auditing procedures

• Ability to handle Billing Functions efficiently

• Proficiency in preparing Financial Statements

• Experience in reviewing Financial Statements

• Knowledge of Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with the functions of General Ledger

• Proficiency in Financial Reporting

• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations accurately

• Experience with External Audit procedures

• Proven skills in Process Improvement
