Job Title: Buyer IIJob Description
We are looking for a highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented Buyer II to assist the Buying Team in expanding our selection by setting up new vendors and items, maintaining the product catalog, and managing pricing. You will coordinate new product launches, maintain product costs, retail prices, content, and images, manage vendor relations, and assist with special projects.
Responsibilities
Set up new vendors and items
Maintain the product catalog and manage pricing
Coordinate new product launches
Maintain product cost, retail price, content, and images
Manage vendor relations
Assist with special projects
Support and train as a backup to Control
Maintain Key Operations Indicators (KOIs) such as Purchase Orders On Time Delivery and Zero Purchase Order Past Due
Manage Open Order Report with suppliers and provide shortage Report updates to management
Facilitate path to green for assigned commodities/suppliers
Timely resolution to Material Review Board (MRB) issues
Work with Contract Manufacturers on inventory report management, excess and obsolete mitigation, and component risk buys
Ensure Item Master Data Integrity and 100% Cycle Count accuracy
Manage production schedules
Essential Skills
Experience in purchasing, procurement, or as a buyer in a large-scale environment
Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
Understanding of data management and databases
Experience with procurement software such as Coupa or similar Procure-to-Pay system
Ability to independently solve ambiguous problems
Advanced data analysis skills
Strong business communication skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to create macros and material simulations in Excel
Degree or equivalent experience
Demonstrated leadership abilities following principles such as Deliver Results and Invent and Simplify
Work Environment
You will work in a highly demanding but collegial environment where teamwork is essential. The role requires effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr.
